Who we are

As you know Fig is made up of a collective of five artists and makers in beautiful Bristol. We want to assure you that we take your data privacy seriously and to promise you that we will not be selling, renting or trading your information to any other company or business for marketing (or any other) purpose. Please read on for more detailed information about our Privacy Policy; what information we collect, how we keep it secure and what you can expect to receive from us.

Types of data I collect

When someone visits we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out information such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site and which pages are most visited. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.

Mailing Lists

If you sign up for our occasional e-newsletter, place an order or get in touch via the contacts page, we are collecting your personal information. We will be using this information to send you infrequent newsletters ONLY if you have agreed to this. The newsletters are our way of letting you know of any special offers on our site and general news about our business, blog, or craft fairs and art trails that we will be part of. We don't sell, rent or trade email lists with any other organisations and businesses.

We use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver the newsletter. For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy notice. You can unsubscribe from my e-newsletter at any time of the day or night by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails or by emailing us requesting your email address be removed from the list at

Holding your data

Any data we collect when you contact us with an enquiry or place an order, we will hold for a maximum of 10 working days in order to fully answer your query or make and process your order. The information you give should you choose to sign up for the newsletter will be kept for a maximum of 3 years unless you tell us a) that you would like us to remove it from our system or b) you would like your data to be retained for longer. We will always inform you either way and you will always have a choice as to whether we retain your data or delete it. We will not do anything with your data that you do not consent to.

Links to other websites

In our blog, we occasionally have links to other websites that we recommended or simply like. This privacy notice does not cover those links and those sites are not governed by this Privacy Notice. Please check their websites for further information about their privacy policies.

Changes and updates to this Privacy Notice
