Katie’s fabrics are inspired by the things that she finds both fascinating and beautiful and for the last four years this has been all about bees, bats and other pollenators.
Most of her fabrics are digitally printed and sometimes screen printed using additional heat processes like flocking and foiling. She then crafts her fabrics into hand rolled lampshades, cushions and other smaller gift products.
Her mirrors are hand painted or made using hand dyed silks which she backs with wood. They are then laser cut, assembled and stuck together to form colourful, unique pieces in different sizes.
As well as creating her own products she is happy to work to commission, she can create custom designs for upholstery and other soft furnishings.
She has a degree in Illustration and also spent ten years creating specialist paint effects and murals for clients in London and abroad. She completed an MA in Multidisciplinary Printmaking at UWE, Bristol in 2012.
